From Ghibli to Action Figures: Navigating the AI Explosion
Plus, exploring automation to simplify the content creation workflow
10K Challenge: Weeks 3–4 Recap (March 28 – April 10)
📢 Total Reach: 962
💬 Total Engagements: 63
📈 Follower Growth: +4
⭐ Top Content:
– Week 3: March Birthday Wrap-Up Reel
– Week 4: “Proof of Reality” AI Reel
💡 Key Takeaways:
• “Proof of Reality” content really resonated—audiences love seeing behind the scenes and as AI-generated images and videos become better and more difficult to separate from “real” content, this BTS content will become increasingly more valuable.
• Week 3 had stronger reach, but Week 4 saw tighter engagement from core followers.
• Consistent posting and Reels continue to be top-performing format.
Did you know that ChatGPT was the most highly downloaded app in March? AI has gained tremendous momentum in just the last few weeks, propelled first by the Ghibli trend, then most recently the Action figure trend. My feed is absolutely inundated with AI-generated dolls left and right, even though it has had critics and caused a backlash from artists rebelling against AI-generated art by creating their own “AI-free” versions.
As this technology continues to penetrate our zeitgeist, I've been reflecting on how I can continue to add value. Truth is that AI tools are becoming increasingly intuitive and robust, maturing every day. So I've decided to expand my attention on answering the following questions: How do I set up effective workflows that enhance my creativity and productivity? How can I manage a system of AI tools that will do the work for me?
Agentic Marketing - The Next Big Thing?
My next challenge involves learning how to set up automated systems that will help me do the work. Going back to the original objective of the 10K challenge - using AI to grow - made me think: What if I create a Social Media Agent that helps me out? A system that integrates all of the AI tools that I currently use: ChatGPT, Claude, and Canva to curate, create and publish content as I go?
Zapier and Make.com are two platforms that help automate workflows, including content creation. Have you tried either of these before? If so, share your experience in the comments!
In the meantime, check out some things that have been on my mind:
Testing different image-to-video platforms including Runway, Hailuo and Kling AI. My verdict? KlingAI seems to be producing the best results.
I hosted a Bridgerton-themed tea party that was pretty epic. What can I say? I'm a sucker for vintage finds, historical fiction, and tea, so this hit my sweet spot. I created my own version of a Bridgerton doll and animated it. What do you think?
Companies like H&M, Unilever, and Amazon have been experimenting with digital twins, AI-generated versions of the “real” thing, with H&M the latest one to encounter backlash from its industry. What are the implications on human models in the future? What about the people that are employed to support the models - the photographers, makeup artists, set designers? It’s all a we-will-see situation.
